WHO WE ARE
Woven Orthopedic Technologies (“Woven”) was founded upon the desire to help make treatments better, easier, more efficient, less expensive, and ultimately more widely accessible to people around the world.
At Woven, our team shares significant domain expertise, in orthopedic and spine surgery, with each of us having designed, sold, and/or used the fixation systems that are available today. We understand their strengths and limitations, and recognize the areas in which they can improve. As a result, our team has come together to solve one of the greatest challenges the orthopedic surgery today: managing fixation in complex scenarios.
Our Ogmend® Implant Enhancement System, is a simple, off-the-shelf implantable sleeve that ensures surgeons are always prepared to quickly and easily secure stable screw fixation when needed. It is patented, clinically proven, and available for use under CE Mark and FDA clearance.

OUR STORY
It all started one evening in an operating room, when Dr. Alexander Jones was performing a standard fixation procedure on an elderly patient. During the procedure, Dr. Jones faced a challenge commonly experienced by orthopedic surgeons - the patient’s bone was not adequately engaging with the screws and hardware to ensure appropriate stability for healing. Without standard tools to address the challenge, Dr. Jones improvised. However, he was not thrilled with the residual risk and was frustrated there wasn't a simple, off-the-shelf solution to rapidly enhance fixation in complex fixation scenarios. After the procedure, Dr. Jones contemplated the blueprints for what would ultimately become the Ogmend® Implant Enhancement System.
The Ogmend® Implant Enhancement System, combines Dr. Jones' concept with today’s precise methods of biopolymer manufacturing to offer surgeons a simple, reliable, fast, efficient, and less risky solution to secure stable screw fixation in complex scenarios.
